These terms cover the text messages Twin sends. Twin is an invite-only iOS app for people who already know each other, run by its developer as a sole proprietor.
Twin sends two kinds of text message, and nothing else: one-time verification codes, and, only for people who sign up on twintheapp.com, early-access texts.
Verification codes. Twin sends one-time verification codes by text message. A code is sent only when you type your own phone number into the Twin app, on the sign-up screen or the screen for moving your account to a new phone, and tap to request it. The screen says a code will be texted to you. That request is your consent to receive the code; you don't need to agree to anything else, and it isn't part of any other agreement.
An example: "123456 is your Twin verification code. It expires in 10 minutes."
Early access. If you enter your number on twintheapp.com and tap enter, you agree to get up to two texts from Twin's toll-free number: one confirming you're signed up ("Twin: You're signed up for Twin early access. We'll text you once more when Twin is on the App Store. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."), and one when Twin is on the App Store. Then your number is deleted.
One message each time you ask for a code; at most two early-access messages in all, if you signed up for them. Nothing recurring.
Message and data rates may apply. Twin doesn't charge for the texts.
Reply STOP to any Twin text to stop receiving them, and HELP for help. You can also contact us at twin--app.com/support. If you stop texts, Twin can't send you a code, so you won't be able to sign up or move your account to a new phone until you reply START.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to send you verification codes and to prove who you are. Twilio delivers the texts for us. More in our privacy policy.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
